Adrian Day
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Adrian Day is considered a pioneer in promoting the benefits of global investing in this country. A native of London, after graduating with honors from the London School of Economics, Mr. Day spent many years as a financial investment writer, where he gained a large following for his expertise in searching out unusual investment opportunities around the world. He has also authored two books on the subject of global investing: International Investment Opportunities: How and Where to Invest Overseas Successfully and Investing Without Borders.

Mr. Day is a recognized authority in both global and resource investing. He is frequently interviewed by the press, domestically and abroad. He is a popular speaker and frequently invited to lecture at financial conferences and seminars around the world. His pleasures include fine dining, reading (especially history), and the opera. Stephen A. Saker
Director of Strategies & Planning

Stephen Saker spent his early childhood in Pakistan. Subsequently his family moved to the U.K. He completed his education in England at Portsmouth University with a degree in Latin American Studies.

Following a period as Latin American representative for a substantial British conglomerate, Wolseley-Hughes plc, he moved to Florida in the early 1980s. He entered the financial services industry and later became a director of an Orlando-based asset management firm, International Assets Advisory Corp., specializing in offering a global investment approach to private investors.

Mr. Saker joined Adrian Day Asset Management in the latter part of 2003. He and Mr. Day have known each other since the mid-1980s and have jointly served on the boards of two public companies.

He is married and lives in Florida with his wife and two teenage daughters. He serves on the boards of two non-profit organizations. His leisure activities include boating, reading, and the occasional bad rounds of golf & bridge.

Candy Harmel
Portfolio Accountant

Candy Harmel joined Adrian Day Asset Management in 2004 as Accountant. She performs all accounting duties including reconciliation of client accounts and billing fees. She assists the trading department and communicates with brokers to resolve fee issues.

Candy has an AA in Business Management, a Letter of Recognition in Accounting and Taxation and is a Certified Payroll Professional.

Giovanni Idoni
Accounts Manager

Giovanni Idoni, our Accounts Manager, has an impressive educational background, a BS, a Masters of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond. He was on the Dean’s List and Capstone Business Simulation World Champion Team Leader, among other awards.

He has worked as an accountant, and at Adrian Day Asset Management is in charge of our back office operations as well as being the main contact point for clients and others interested in discussing their accounts. Among his interests are sports and entertainment law, and sports in general.

Clayton W. Bartel
President and Chief Operating Officer

Clay Bartel is a native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. After graduation from Purdue University with a degree in English Literature, he followed his lifelong passion of sailing and became a professional sailor. As a professional, Mr. Bartel has many National and Regional titles to his name. Mr. Bartel joined Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith Co. in 2003 and rapidly built a Private Client Advisory business.

Mr. Bartel joined Adrian Day Asset Management in late 2007 as President and COO to manage the existing business and develop new business opportunities in the industry. He currently holds his Series 7 and Series 66 Securities Licenses as well as a Maryland State Life and Health Insurance license.

Mr. Bartel resides in Annapolis, Md. where he is active in the local sailing community.
